cheese! we made cheese!

and then we ate it. And it’s only September. Five months ago, the thought of making cheese, was just that, a thought. One that might actually happen, some day, far off in the future. Sure, I was excited about the thought, but admittedly overwhelmed.

Move to a new place where we know no one and practically nothing about our surroundings. Get out of our comfortable little shells and meet people. Try and grow some food in the garden. Continue to grow, push, and evolve the business. Prepare for Winter?!?! Try and figure out what that even means. And now we’ve added attempts at baking our own sourdough bread, tie dying and cheese making to the list.

This is not a complaint of any kind. This is more a statement of wonderment.

We made cheese… and it’s only freakin’ September. We’ve been here almost exactly 4 months. What the hell are we going to be trying to make/do by May, when we’ve been here a year? And even crazier to think about 5 years?!

And yet it all just rolls on, one day at a time.
