Guest NYE post: Suze Writes!

I invited (or challenged really) my mom, Suze, to write a guest post:
I don’t do journaling, I’m not a writer, I don’t pontificate at length in my head either.  I’m a touch typist; the delete key is my favorite key. Trust me, I’ve used it a lot already….

This guest posting gig is tough. It’s meant to be I think.  The topic: New Year’s Eve

We, mud and I, take stock all the time of where we are, the direction we’re headed and where we’d like to go. We do this as a pair – as mother daughter, as biz partners. We do it as individuals too.

Taking stock, recapping, looking back, moving forward, which direction? how fast, what next? As a pair, this happens spontaneously, we do it while we’re working, walking, eating, cooking; it happens as a natural extension of living and working together. It’s a pretty glorious thing we do.

This New Year’s Eve, we decided to do something a bit different.  We made a list of all the things that we accomplished this year as individuals, as partners, as a small business.  If we’d made a wish list last New Year’s Eve of what we wanted to accomplish this year, we wouldn’t have dreamed big enough. Seriously. The list is amazing.  So next, of course, is to write a list of dreams and intentions for 2011, individually and for RAGGEDedge.  Lesson learned? Dream big. Real big. This year was phenomenal, next year can hold anything and everything we want it to.
