Mayhem, I Salute You

Mayhem, we hear you. Mayhem, we see you. And most of all Mayhem, we feel you.

I think it has something to do with Spring time. All around us nature is changing, rapidly, daily, minutely. I can’t even begin to keep up with how fast the trees are budding and the grass is growing and the insects are appearing.

Its Spring. The mundane, seemingly static Winter, is over. Nature is gearing up for the abundance and glory that is Summer. We too, are gearing up. Work, garden, chickens, t-shirts. All around me, people and projects are gearing up. Graduations, festivals, deployments. Changes and defining moments are happening everywhere to everybody. None of us are alone in this Mayhem.

But Mayhem, I think I love you. You are exquisite in your ability to bring out the best in all of us. Just when we would think we had reached our limit and could do no more, you step in and make it known that we are capable of far more then we ever imagined.

You test us, and we figure out how to shine. And for that Mayhem, I do love you.

So bring it on.
