Beets & Beats

First, the beats. Beat Radness Mobile is coming together:

This is the stage. The big Titan 48s will go in the back there. The tops will sit out on the sides like ears. The solar panels go up at a 45 degree angle for sun catching and then all the way up to 90 degrees for a performance backdrop. Hank stands in the middle. You get the picture?

I sense painting & decoration shenanigans are coming soon…

And then for the beets. I really wanted to name this post “Holy Beets” but decided it wasn’t fair to the beats. So, we harvested another ridiculous amount of beets. Every time we go out to the garden the beets have grown up. You know how puppies grow too fast? It’s like that. But none the less, we are growing food. This time Mom canned 7 quart jars worth, and we still have another 10 or so beets left over to eat this week. All this rain is just making everything rage. Now for the highlights of this harvest… We grew a heart beet:

And a REALLY BIG beet:

I mean seriously? That’s almost 21 cubic inches of beet!
